COVID-19 UPDATE! March 24, 2020

To All Ole Monterey Golfers,

We hope that this pandemic has not reached your front door or your family. If it has, you have our thoughts and prayers for a full, healthy recovery.

According to the Governor’s Executive Order Number 53, we can still be open but with a few modifications and requests to adhere to this order.

Starting Wednesday, March 25, 2020 we will be closing the Clubhouse.

We will be checking golfers in from the front porch. There will be white lines (spaced out every 6 ft) for people to stand in line and keep the social distance while paying.

You will be able to purchase Golf, anything from the Pro Shop (we will go in and bring it out) and anything from the Snack Bar (we will deliver it to you “curbside” out of the delivery door in the back).

We also ask that you adhere to the following in order to keep everyone safe and comfortable:

· If there is a line or group of people, that you keep an acceptable distance until you are waited on or start playing

· Throw ALL trash (including cigarette butts) in the trash cans placed on each hole, the porch or at cart wash bay

· We encourage being very liberal with putts (less people touching the flag stick)

· We ask that you call the Snack Bar (number will be provided at check in) for orders, that way there will not be a wait or a back up of people at the pick-up door

· We ask that if you are not feeling well, to get well before coming to the course

· Ask that you use your personal cleaning items (like sanitizer and wipes) during the round as much as possible WE ARE DISINFECTING THE CARTS DAILY AND WILL HAVE SANITIZER AT THE PORCH, but every little bit helps to make all of us safe.

All tournaments, leagues and clinics are postponed until further notice.

You can go to our website: olemontereygolf.com to book tee times online.

WE APPRECIATE YOUR BUSINESS, PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING through these trying times but together we will get through this and have golf in the Roanoke Valley back to normal in no time.

Ole Monterey Golf Club is always in great condition and is the only public golf course in the Roanoke Valley. Well-maintained small greens, tight fairways, five sets of tees, and creeping out of bounds provide a true test of golf for any player at any skill level.
